SUMMARY:Left Behind
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nThis film is generously sponsored by Rolfing Collective\, with support from the Dairy Arts Center Women’s Giving Circle. Rolfing Collective is a group of North Boulder Rolfers® and Structural Integrators dedicated to helping people find balance and resilience through manual therapy and somatic awareness. We’re proud to sponsor the film Left Behind in support of meaningful community initiatives. \nJoin us for a post film discussion led by Kathy Sherman\, Co-Found and Director of Enrollment of the Hillside School & Center for Dyslexia  \nAbout the film: \nApproximately 200\,000 New York City public school students are dyslexic\, yet there is no public initiative that provides the specialized skill and care necessary for these learners. \nFrustrated that they had to remove their own kids from the public school system\, a group of determined moms band together to do something that’s never been done before – open New York City’s first public school for dyslexic students. The journey is not a smooth ride\, and they face both institutional and personal hurdles as they try to upend a system . \nA new mayoral candidate bolsters their fight after he reveals his own dyslexia. But will they be able to convince a bureaucratic education system to overhaul outdated politics to ensure a brighter future for the city’s dyslexic youth? \n(Anna Toomey\, 2025\, USA\, 1:14\, NR) \n\n\n\n\n\n\nInterested in sponsoring a film at the Dairy Arts Center? Reach out to Shay Wescott\, Development Manager at swescott@thedairy.org for more information! View our sponsorship page here.

SUMMARY:No Other Land
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nPresented by Boulder Nablus Sister City Project\, and Boulder Showing up for Racial Justice. \nOscar‑winning feature documentary. For half a decade\, Basel Adra\, a Palestinian activist\, films his community of Masafer Yatta being destroyed by Israel’s occupation\, as he builds an unlikely alliance with an Israeli journalist who wants to join his fight. “Given the conditions of its production\, NO OTHER LAND would be vital even in a more ragged form. But the filmmaking here is tight and considered\, with nimble editing (by the directors themselves) that captures the sense of time at once passing and looping back on itself.” – Guy Lodge\, Variety (Yuval Abraham\, Basel Adra\, Hamdan Ballal\, Rachel Szor\, 2024\, Occupied Palestinian Territory\, 1:32\, NR)
