DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\n \nA Mesmerizing New Work by Internationally Recognized Choreographer Robert Sher-Machherndl in Collaboration with Renowned Concert Pianist George Lopez \nLemon Sponge Cake performs the mesmerizing poetry of LOLA RUN\, a new work by choreographer Robert Sher-Machherndl. With a lean\, elegant\, modernist\, almost mechanical impressionism\, the audience faces the beauty of how bodies move in space without explanation. Sher-Machherndl takes movements and gestures\, some of which recognizable from everyday life and transforms them into a style of dance that doesn’t tell what to think\, what to feel\, or what to believe. A new form of beauty stripped of signposts and melodrama. \n“… it’s my curiosity that drives me to uncover new movement language\, to redirect one’s mind\, and take the audience on an intriguing journey\,” says Sher-Machherndl. \nSher-Machherndl and dancers are to share the stage with highly-accomplished guest artist and dynamic concert pianist George Lopez\, a Bowdoin College Artist in Residence. \n“Working with Robert Sher-Machherndl again after almost ten years is a real joy.
