SUMMARY:Polyglot Exhibition Opening Reception
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the Polyglot Exhibition opening reception. This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments available for purchase. \nPolyglot brings together artists from around the world working across textile\, ceramic\, and painting. Each artist works within a distinct material practice\, shaped by where they live\, how they work\, and what they choose to focus on. \nWhen you travel\, visiting a museum often becomes a way of understanding a place. Art captures atmosphere\, history\, and everyday life in a way words often cannot. Polyglot is rooted in that experience\, aiming to bring those moments of discovery closer to home. \nPresented as a focused group exhibition\, Polyglot brings together different materials\, cultures\, and approaches to making. Each practice is presented on its own terms\, creating a dialogue between artists who may never share the same language\, but whose work communicates through material and form. \nCurated by Verbunt Galerie.

SUMMARY:Continuum: Death Cafe
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nThe Dairy Arts Center is proud to present a special event as part of the Continuum exhibition programming\, in partnership with Boulder Death Cafe. \nAt Death Cafe\, we gather to eat cake\, drink tea\, and talk openly about death. This compassionate\, group-directed discussion is guided by Callie and Kristina\, mindfulness-based therapists with backgrounds in elder care who are passionate about embracing the beauty of our mortality. The aim is to increase awareness of death in order to help us make the most of our finite lives. \nThis is not a grief support or counseling session\, but an open\, agenda-free conversation space where participants are invited to share\, listen\, and reflect together. The event will take place in the McMahon Gallery\, surrounded by the artwork of Continuum — offering an inspiring and soothing environment for this reflective dialogue. Tea and biscuits will be provided. \nEvent is free; RSVP required as capacity is limited. \n

SUMMARY:November Cinema Club: It Was Just an Accident
DESCRIPTION:CINEMA CLUB TICKETS\nImmediately following the screening on Sunday\, Nov. 23\, join us in the McMahon Gallery for a discussion facilitated by the Dairy Arts Center staff and programming committee. Pizza & soda provided! \nNot a member yet? Join Now! or contact us at memberships@thedairy.org for more information. \nThis series is generously sponsored by Belzer Law LLC. \n FILM TICKETS\nVahid\, an unassuming mechanic\, has a chance encounter with Eghbal\, a man he strongly suspects to be his former sadistic jailhouse captor. Panicked\, Vahid gathers several former prisoners\, all abused by that same captor\, to try and confirm Eghbal’s identity. As the bickering group drives around Tehran with the captive\, they must confront how far to take matters into their own hands with their presumed tormentor. From master filmmaker Jafar Panahi comes a searing moral thriller that engages with complex ideas about the uncertainty of the truth and the choice between revenge and mercy\, as Panahi turns his personal dissonance into a profound and galvanizing work of art. We will be weaving a pattern inspired by the text of Parallel Lines\, a play written by Nick Malakow\, based on community Story Circles held in Boulder during 2024. Frost and Schulte will show participants how to weave on a four-harness loom\, with all materials provided. Weaving hours will be from 2–5 PM in the main gallery. Folks can drop in any time during the open hours—no registration necessary.
