SUMMARY:Upcycled Mosaic Pendants with Jane Glotzer
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\n“Break” into the ancient art of mosaics with a modern twist in this workshop led by Jane Glotzer. Combine tiny\, hand-cut pieces of stained glass\, mirror\, and/or broken ceramics with beads and gems to create beautiful mosaic pendants. This hands-on class is suitable for all skill levels. Basic fine motor skills are required and good eyesight (bring your magnifiers if you need them) for close-up work. All materials are provided\, but you are welcome to bring along potential items for your pendant such as broken jewelry\, earrings\, beads\, chain\, broken dishes\, etc. if you like. By the end of the workshop\, you’ll leave with a uniquely personal pendant that reflects both your creativity and a thoughtful approach to upcycling castoffs through reuse and redesign. \nMeet the Maker: \nJane Glotzer is a seasoned mosaic artist with over 20 years of experience working primarily with reclaimed materials. Her work focuses on reducing waste and consumption by transforming upcycled materials into contemporary mosaic fine art which has been exhibited nationally and is held in private and public collections. Jane’s art\, created with the discarded and the overlooked\, the used but not used up\, demonstrates her powerful environmental message\, while also celebrating the value and beauty of age and old things.
